"I know that this is not what you normally hear, but I want you to count the cost of serving Me when you are in the dark valley, not from the mountain top. Mountain top commitments fade when times get difficult. When you have nothing to offer, when there is no escape, when you have come to the end of yourself and still commit to serve Me, I know you mean it. That is when I change you. That is when your heart becomes more like the heart of Jesus. Never be afraid to go to the place of needing Me. Each time I drive you to the end of yourself, it is My love in action. When I am all that you have and I am needed for your next breath, I will be there for you. You can trust Me. That is when We can really talk."

Psalm 3:1-6 AMP

1 Lord, how they are increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.

2 Many are saying of me, There is no help for him in God. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

4 With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!

5 I lay down and slept; I wakened again, for the Lord sustains me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.

Isa. 38:17 NIV

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.

Unless we really understand that everything God does is for our good, we will never be able to communicate with Him properly in times of anguish. Usually in those dark places, we begin to accuse God of being unfaithful and question His promises, instead of releasing our desperate need of Him and crying out for help.

We forget that He has taken us to those places, so that we finally come to the end of ourselves and He can get to our real need - more of Jesus. What we say and how we act toward Him in those desperate moments reveals our true heart. At that time, He either releases His compassion and changes us or allows us to remain there until our need of Him is more powerful than anything else.

We spend so much time trying to prove that we are getting better and becoming more Christ-like, when our Father is working to get us to acknowledge that we are bankrupt and in need of Jesus. When we do acknowledge our need, He can change us.

Do what it takes to make me whole, Lord.

"In a moment your life can change forever. Without warning, you could find yourself in a situation in which you need Me desperately. Your world is being postured to fulfill what I have called into being long ago. It is heaving from within. The enemy has loosed lying and deceiving spirits upon those who are not aware of the truth in Jesus. You should have responded to My heart wooing long ago. One day it will be too late. You will not have enough oil to respond properly. Are you focused on My truth? Are you ready for whatever comes your way? You need to be! Much is changing fast."

Isaiah 28:9-10 TLB

9 "Who does Isaiah think he is," the people say, "to speak to us like this! Are we little children, barely old enough to talk?

10 "He tells us everything over and over again, a line at a time and in such simple words!"

Isaiah 48:3 NIV

"I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass."

II Peter 3:8-9 NIV

8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

The "Leave It to Beaver days" have long since passed in case you haven’t noticed. Vile intrusions on our senses invade us at every moment. Intolerance is systematically replacing patience in our world. What would have been unthinkable even ten years ago has become almost commonplace today. Mankind is blindly responding to its father, the father of lies.

But Jesus! Because we are His, we can see the changes all around us with clarity and respond accordingly, if we are wise. This very moment God is doing what is necessary in each of those who are responding to His call to intimacy and bridal heart preparation. Our circumstances often must be seen with spiritual eyes. Our training may seem imperceptible and our growth may appear non-existent; but none-the-less, we are in His hands and being formed to respond and overcome in our times as Jesus responded and overcame in His. Those who are listening and moving in God’s direction are being made ready for whatever is ahead.

Equip me, Lord,

"Do everything that I tell you to do even if you have to do it afraid; I’ll meet you there. Go where I tell you; I’ll show you the way. Walk where there seems to be no path; My light will show you where to step. Speak what I tell you to say; I will back it up with My Word and My presence. I will guide you, direct you, and support you as you walk in obedience to My commands in your life. Do not ever doubt that. You have been in training. You have been taught to listen to Me rather than the world, or even the traditions that the church follows. I have trained you with My own hand. I have given you My perspectives on My Word that change the hearts of those who have ears to hear. I have shown you what is about to take place. You have a knowing that few others have.

I have also kept you needing Me for your every move. In your need, you have learned to look to Me for everything. I now can trust you with much. I now can pour into you everything that is needed to accomplish My will for your life. Do not be limited by the small visions and insights of those who haven’t heard what I tell you in secret. You will no longer have to settle for the crumbs from the table of those who have filled themselves on My provision for you. I will release the needed provisions from those with clenched fists. In the coming days, you will see why I have taken you through the tests and trials you have faced. Soon I will silence the gossip. Soon I will show the loud voices whom they have been following. Soon I will remove every heavy hand from your life.

Those who have touched you without My permission will be exposed for who they really are. They will stumble on the stones that they have thrown at you. They will be confused by the same lies that they have said about you. They will be blinded by the confusion they have strewn around your lives. You are now My trained vessels. You are now My new warriors, fit and trained at My own hand. Go forward no matter how dark the path might seem. I am with you. My presence will guide you. My power will accomplish everything that you will need. Trust what I have taught you. Receive now what has been set aside for your work. I love you."

Deut. 31:8 NIV

"The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged."

Matt.10:18-20 AMP

18 And you will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a witness to bear testimony before them and to the Gentiles (the nations).

19 But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how or what you are to speak; for what you are to say will be given you in that very hour and moment,

20 For it is not you who are speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Matt. 14:27 AMP

But instantly He spoke to them, saying, Take courage! I AM! Stop being afraid!

Rev. 22:17 AMP

The [Holy] Spirit and the bride (the church, the true Christians) say, Come! And let him who is listening say, Come! And let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.

God will always have a people. God has a people in training at this very moment. Most of them are not visible to the world and even to the church right now. I believe, however, that they are about to be released from the training in which the Lord has had them; and that they will function in the power of His presence.

In the eyes of the world, most of the church of today is little more than a carnival act. It is a sideshow that is discredited and laughed at by those who boast of their sin openly. They see it as powerless to hinder them in any way. The world has no fear of strong words that are meant to challenge them and little or no respect for the ones who speak those words, and rightfully so.

Most of the visible actions, traditions, and expressions portrayed as God’s Word or displayed as having God’s hand in action are nothing more than well-rehearsed slight-of-hand and practiced deception. Fools have taken His Word out of context and out of line with its original intent in order to fool the needy and the spiritually hungry. What is heralded across the land as having the presence of God with it is often nothing more than emotional manipulation coupled with biblical text to supposedly give it authenticity.

The real church of Jesus Christ has quietly been in training. They have been learning discernment directly from the heart of God. They have been exposed to absolute truth at the feet of Jesus, driven there by the pressures put on them by the sin-embracing church. They have received the heart of God in the presence of God during their intimate moments with Him. They are soon to be brought forth in power to affect their generation with the truth of the Word of God.

In the near future, I believe that the real church of Jesus Christ will rise from the ashes of the lives of those who have willingly submitted themselves to the refiner’s fire. She will consist of those who have craved holiness, truth, and only the presence of God in their lives. She will be adorned with the wonder of the heart of Jesus, equipped with the mighty sword of the Word, and dressed in the spotless garments of the glory of God. She will not have a hint of flesh or the slightest taste for anything the world has to offer. She will be a sold-out, holy people looking only for the coming Bridegroom and moving only for His desires. She will be a holy people set apart from those who have chosen to remain in their empty religion.

Wanting to be counted as holy in God’s eyes,

"I hover over the reputation of Jesus. I am about to restore you to how I think of Him. For too many years, those of you who call yourselves by His Name have been allowed to show others He is something that He is not. He is not weak, nor is He a hypocrite. He is not jealous and given to infighting. He does not covet riches. He does not take what is not His. There is no pride or fear in Him. Jesus always flows in perfect love. He never thinks of Himself before others and although He is God, He never esteems Himself higher than the lowest of creation.

Worthy of all praise, surrounded by glory, adored by all of the heavenly host, Jesus is King of all Kings. He is the Lord over everything, praised through all eternity, and honored with the highest honors for all time. He is Jesus. There is no name in heaven or on earth that is higher than that Name. He is Lord, and delights in being your true Advocate Friend. What kind of representation have you given Him? He has given you His Name to carry in your world. Have you lifted it up so it is held in the esteem that it is due, or have you brought it down to the level of every other name? It is time for you to be an advocate for your Advocate."

Hebrews 1:3 AMP

He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high, …

You and I represent Jesus! Have you ever given that enough thought to have it become truth in your spirit? You and I bring either honor or discredit to His Name by the way we act, speak, and live. We carry His Name.

The Bible tells us to raise up a child in the bent in which he or she functions. When she was younger, our daughter, Jubilee, understood and functioned in the concept of compensation for works; so Merry and I established an honor point system for her. In other words, Jubilee was given our own form of compensation for the proper representation of Jesus and our family. This, of course, was over and above the normal praise for who she is and how valuable she is to us, which we bestow upon her lavishly. She is an honorable girl with a wonderful heart.

Points were given when we observed or were told of some "above the normal," high function. Someone else had to initiate it on her behalf. Points were removed if she brought discredit in any way. When she reached a certain number of points, she received some specific object or privilege that delighted her heart. The delightful thing was that she did not go around trying to be a good representation in order to win points, but her becoming aware of proper behavior through this reinforcement of points helped her to flow naturally in what God desires for all of us.

Our "system" was a mechanical way of making Jubilee aware of the fact that she is a representation of Jesus and our family values everywhere she goes and to everyone she meets. People know something about Jesus and us when they meet her. We have been told by others over the years that they see the character of Jesus being formed in her as she grows in Him. Jubilee always delights our hearts, but when we see her prospering in the joy of the fact that she understands how she really belongs somewhere and is part of something as important as representing two very valuable families, we praise God for that wealthy concept in her.

People know Jesus by how each of us acts. We may not receive tangible honor points or get a reward because of the way people see Him through our actions; but one day, we will see if we truly have brought glory to His Name. Jesus is the Name above all names. Father God is forming us to wear it well.

Teach me how, Lord.

When Adam fell, any possibility of you having a relationship with Me was destroyed until Jesus bought that right back for you. He destroyed anything that stood in the way of Our being together. You now have free access to Me for any need you might have because of the blood covenant that was made in your honor. Why, then, do you not come to spend time with Me? You come with your lists, your needs, and your desires. You come when you are afraid, or need to be cleansed; and when you have run out of answers. You, however, rarely come simply to spend the kind of time together that was lost in the garden and gained back at the cross. Our relationship is why you were created in the first place. It is time for you to rethink your idea of what Our relationship is all about. From My side, it’s all about love. Why do you think Jesus spent His blood?"

Genesis 3:8 NIV

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

Luke 23:44-45 NIV

44 It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour,

45 for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two.

Ephesians 5:1-2 AMP

1 THEREFORE BE imitators of God [copy Him and follow His example], as well-beloved children [imitate their father].

2 And walk in love, [esteeming and delighting in one another] as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us, a slain offering and sacrifice to God [for you, so that it became] a sweet fragrance.

Col. 1:20 AMP

And God purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him [the Son] all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself, whether on earth or in heaven, as through Him, [the Father] made peace by means of the blood of His cross.

How many times have you opened your heart up to someone only to have that person use you, abuse you, and then throw you away after he or she is done with you? Just think of the price that was paid for you to have access to the Creator of the world. How have you honored that privilege?

Forgive me, Lord,

"Treasure every moment I give you. I have created them with My own hand. I have made them especially for you until We are joined forever. Seek Me as to what you are to do. Seek Me, so that you can know your purpose for living. I will show you what I plan to accomplish through you. There is purpose in it all. Waste no moments. They are Mine. Use them as I have designed you to use them."

Matt.7:13-14 NIV

13 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."

Col. 4:5-6 AMP

5 Behave yourselves wisely [living prudently and with discretion] in your relations with those of the outside world (the non-Christians), making the very most of the time and seizing (buying up) the opportunity.

6 Let your speech at all times be gracious (pleasant and winsome), seasoned [as it were] with salt, [so that you may never be at a loss] to know how you ought to answer anyone [who puts a question to you].

Those who are aware of the times and seasons in which we live are divided into two groups. One group is preparing with moderate zeal because they understand how wonderful it would be to be part of what might soon take place. They are flowing in their usual "this is gonna be good for me" attitude and believe that it will be adequate for whatever happens, whenever it happens.

The other group, those of you who have chosen to live as Jesus lived, have heard the same call, only you have learned from intimate times with the Father that compromise is not part of the character of Jesus. You know that the kind of heart that finds satisfaction in anything other than the Father’s will is in no way similar to Jesus’ heart.

You have learned that it is important to the Father that Jesus recognize Himself in those who are waiting and/or working for Him. You know that responding to the present call to intimacy is important to God and are willing to do so for no other reason than to glorify the Father and please Jesus. You know that falling in love with Jesus, a vital and often missing part in the fulfillment of God’s plan, is necessary and you desire to do what it takes to go there.

Make my days count, Lord,

"Have you noticed that I care little about the reputation or acceptance of those whom I use mightily? Have you also noticed that people who look for fame of any kind, even in very small circles, are eventually set aside, their ministry nullified? They may seem as if they are prospering for a while, even a long while; but their effectiveness is minimal compared to what it could be if their hearts were fully surrendered to Me. I am building surrendered vessels with servant hearts to accomplish My plan. The visible leaders, those who have vied for position and recognition, will be surprised to see whom I choose to equip with My power and My presence. My work is being done in the secret places of your heart. It is being refined in the submitted heart, not the one that craves attention.

My Holy Spirit is working in the deep parts of My true servants. You are being refined in the fire of adversity over and over. Some of you have almost given up and given in, because of the intensity of the trials that you have gone through. Sometimes, it has felt that I have forgotten about you, and even left you. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are My precious, refined representatives. You are the ones that are being purified. You are the ones that are becoming dead to this world and alive to Jesus. I will soon be able to trust you. Have you noticed recently how little it takes to move you? You hear Me whisper and respond naturally. Have you noticed that you are becoming less and less enchanted with fame, position, or worldly trappings? That is some of the completed work that I have done in you.

I am now going to take you to a depth of relationship with Me that you never thought possible. I am going to seal your heart and weld it to Mine. This quiet work will be accomplished in secret places so that I will have your full attention, so that you will not be distracted by the worldly influences within My church. You will be separated and taught at My hand from My heart. Discard traditions and meet with Me in the secret place to find truth. Soon, the pain of training will be replaced by the wonder of My presence. People will notice you, but you will not be swayed by their adulation. Soon, you would rather die than take any part of My glory. I will be able to trust you with much."

John 14:12-14 AMP

12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do: and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

13 And I will do [I Myself will grant] whatever you ask in My Name [as representing all that I AM], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.

14 [Yes] I will grant [I Myself will do for you] whatever you ask in My Name [as representing all that I AM].

Gal.2:20 AMP

I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

A quiet power is being created within the true church of Jesus Christ. It is the fully released power of the Holy Spirit that is equipping the bride of Christ.

Before Jesus left, He said that we, (I believe that He was talking to all who truly love Him,) would do greater works than even He did. Looking historically, I don’t see that these greater works are the antics being done in certain "healing, prophetic, power, or miracle meetings," where some well-known - or wannabe known - preacher, fully aware of the camera position, shares His anointing with Jesus. (Yes, I meant to say it that way.) That foolishness has little to do with what Jesus was talking about.

What is called power in today’s popular church circles is often choreographed showmanship or contrived manipulation, void of the character of Jesus. Please understand that I’m not talking about the honest moves of God that do follow the Word preached. I’m talking about the honor-grabbing, well-oiled sales people who have Jesus and miracles as their product.

I am convinced that the greater works that Jesus was talking about happen mostly in no-name, unassuming places through honest hearts that most of us never hear about, such as the arenas all across the blood-soaked Roman Empire. As most of our New Testament was fostered by Paul’s isolation in a dank prison cell, the real work of the Lord is being done privately and without the fanfare that is normally associated with today’s ministries. Jesus escaped from the limelight as often as He could do so and still accomplish His Father’s will.

In the near future, I believe that the Lord will be using those who quietly and systematically represent Jesus every moment of their lives. Absolute obedience will be so natural that miracles, salvations, healings, and events only the Lord can develop will be everyday occurrences in the lives of those who are being trained at present.

Imagine the time when some of us raise someone from the dead in a shopping center and escape before anyone knows who was used by the Lord to do it. Consider the wonder when observers testify of the Name of Jesus being used by "this person who is no longer in the vicinity." What about the time when we can once again gladly lay our lives down for the glory of God and have no desire that anyone even know about it?

I crave the day that our hearts are pure enough to flee from any form of flattery or the desire for any portion of God’s glory. That is the day that our Lord will be able to trust us with even "greater things" once again.

My Lord, stop the foolishness in my life,

Jim Corbett

"You must watch your heart so that you never, never turn your back on My people, Israel. In the times and seasons that are fast approaching, there will be many confusing issues about borders and alliances and other things concerning Israel. It is all part of My end-time scenario being played out in your midst. You must guard your heart and never come against My people or side with anyone who does. Too often you, My children, forget that you are grafted into the vine by My Son. You are there only because of My grace toward you. You had as much to do with the crucifixion of My Son as those at whom you point fingers. This may be hard for you to accept in your pride, but I am using you at present to bring those I also love deeply close to Me.

For you to forget your isolated heritage, raise yourself above, and believe that you have a corner on My love is foolish thinking and destined for failure. It will only lead to confusion and unwise actions, leading you to heart separation from Me. I will never change My Word. I have promises in My Word that I will fulfill. If you decide to follow prejudices that are derived from a fleshly heart, you will find yourself directly opposed to My heart. You do not want to go there. I am not there and you will be standing all alone with only your "wisdom" to protect you. Not a good place to be!"

Rom. 11:24-26 AMP

24 For if you have been cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and against nature grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much easier will it be to graft these natural [branches] back on [the original parent stock of] their own olive tree.

25 Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in.

26 And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come to Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob.

In a telephone conversation years ago, I was attempting to explain the attitudes of people driving on the road in the South Florida area. Included among several categories to explain the selfish attitudes, the words "rich Jew" came from my mouth as one example. I meant to describe a kind of person who went about his business with little care about anyone else. I don’t believe that I had ever thought in those terms before, and I am quite sure that they had never been said out loud. I certainly didn’t mean to say them, but I did. I didn’t know that any root of prejudice was in my heart, but it must have been there because it came out of my mouth.

Immediately, my Lord took issue with my astounding ignorance. He said to my heart very intently: "Watch your mouth and guard your heart. You do not know the spirit that you have sided with. It is part of the anti-Christ spirit that is in the world, and will become more prevalent as the end times unfold."

I understood very clearly that He meant business, and was not pleased at how I would hold to such sin against His people - even though I didn’t know it, nor would I willingly ever want any harm to come to them, nor would I ever want to come against them. I thought that I had only love in my heart until then.

Over the next week, it was impossible for me to shake a feeling of emptiness, knowing that I had offended my Lord. I tried to repent over and over again, telling Him how sorry I was for the choice of words I had used, and the attitude that I unknowingly had. Only after I repented of my arrogance and pride, and acknowledged my "grafted in" status, did I see forgiveness. It was a much deeper issue with Him than a simple bad choice of words. It was a spirit that was sent by the enemy long ago to destroy the unity of the family of God, all of His family, which I had unknowingly accepted. (No wonder there has been such focus and such horrors done to the Jewish people over the centuries. It is a sent spirit!)

In my time of repentance, the Lord brought to my remembrance a meeting that I had with a Jewish contractor long ago. He had heard that I’d given my life to Jesus. This was a man that I’d greatly respected even before I came to the Lord, so we had enough of a relationship to be able to talk freely. In the course of our conversation, he made a remarkable statement to me. It didn’t impact me then as much as it does now.

He said: "I suppose you will come against my people now, just like all the others have." He went on to tell of all the horrific examples of so-called Christians and their foolish actions, some right to his face. I saw the hurt and deep sorrow in his eyes while I was promising to never be part of that ignorance. After this week, I understand his hurt and our ignorance as Christians more fully.

Wanting to never, never hurt the heart of my Father in that way again,

"Look closely at those whom I have placed in your life. Pray to see why they are there. Some are there to expose who you really are. Others are there to represent who I am. Still others are there simply to bless you with what I have done in them. Nothing is by chance when you are part of My life. Make sure you begin to honor each moment that you have breath. Time is passing and you will miss much that I have for you if you only concentrate on your needs. Cherish everything. Enjoy the days that are yours. Make sure that when your time is complete, you have few regrets because of wasted moments, inordinate fears, or broken relationships. You can never recoup what was planned through them once they have passed. Stop looking only for results. Enjoy Our trip together and with others that I give you. I designed it especially for you."

Eccl. 3:1 AMP

Ps. 90:12 AMP

So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.

Romans 15:1-7 NIV

1 "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.

2 Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

3 For even Christ did not please himself, as it is written: "The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me"

4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

5 May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,

6 so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

7 Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."

I have the great honor of being an observer and sometimes, it seems, almost a participant in the lives of certain people who are experiencing a Christ-like, God-ordained life modification. They are going through challenges that are forming them into the image of Jesus. It is incredibly exciting to witness astounding growth, as they submit to heavy trials, joyful times, and everything in between.

What is most interesting, as I observe their lives, is how real it all is. They are the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the work of the cross, and the power of the resurrection from the tomb being worked out and fulfilled right before my eyes. As they are being formed, I am seeing how truthful the Word and its promises really are. How horrible it would be to have missed the opportunity by deciding not to get involved.

Thank You for every Christ–life experience,

"Repentance is the only way to win My favor. There can be no intimate interaction between Us unless you maintain a humble, submissive heart. I have toppled kingdoms because of their pride in their own strength and resources. I have delayed My provision to them in time of need. I have used the unlikely, the underdog, the seemingly weak to destroy their pompous attitude and humble them for all the world to see. When they came to repentance, I restored My lifeline to them so that they once again could accomplish My work.

For many years I have called you, My people, to repentance. I have asked you to humble yourself so that I can move freely through you. Instead of seeking Me with an open heart, allowing My Holy Spirit to expose every hidden sin, you have chosen to correct the wrongs that you see in those who do not know Me. You have attempted to change your world and call it My way of doing things. That is pride, and I am not with you in it. How much success have you had? How much closer has the world drawn to Me? If you are truthful, even with all your activity, things have gotten darker. You have also become weaker because you have been too busy to spend enough time with Me to gain My strength and hear My heart.

How long must I continue to call you before you hear Me? What will it take before you understand that My goal is your proud heart, not your zealous activities that look like My work. You need to wake up! You need to rediscover what I originally taught you. If you look back through the corridors of time, you will observe the religious activity and the prideful attitude of those who believed they were doing My work. In reality, they were very busy maintaining their own lordship immediately before I humbled them, whether they be nations or individuals. It will be like looking in a mirror. That should terrify you enough to bring you to repentance. You know what is coming next if you don’t! I will humble you."

2 Samuel 14:14 NIV

"God does not take away life, instead he devises ways so that a banished person may no longer remain estranged from him."

2 Chronicles 7:13-14 NIV

"13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." ( Another translation reads, "I will hear THEM from heaven…")

In the time that I have been a follower of Jesus Christ, I have lived through the foolishness of the fist-waving, foot-stomping, devil-commanding, power-praying, finger-pointing, people-condemning, sign-carrying, bible-thumping, rights-demanding, holier-than-thou spectacle that some call Christianity. In a specific time of need, I have seen thousands of people attend rallies designed to unite themselves against the enemy.

One such rally even called in a "Christian minister" who called himself a maledictionist. He was called to bring curses down upon the particular enemy of that time. Thousands attended that meeting. It was shameful. All the world saw the foolishness done in the Name of Jesus to change our world.

What is so fascinating about almost all of these functions is that the 2 Chronicles 7:14 verse above is used as a rallying cry for their justification. It is held high as the definitive verse to show the righteousness of our battle, the sureness of our victory.

I have meditated long and hard on 2 Chronicles 7:14 and have come to the conclusion that it means exactly what is very clear the first time you read it. God was calling His people (Christians) to repent of their own sins if they wanted their land healed, not come against the wrongs in the land and those committing them. We are to represent the character of Jesus to them so that they might accept Him and turn from their wicked ways through His power.

That is not a very popular position to take. The usual immediate response when pointing to the verse and taking it word for word is, "You mean we are supposed to sit around and do nothing?" It is as if humbling ourselves, praying, seeking the face of God, and turning from our wicked, prideful, not needing God ways is far behind "rallying for a cause" on the fruitful works activities list. Seemingly, praying, repenting, and seeking God with all our hearts are considered inactivities, rather than the most honored activity of our Lord.

A good friend of mine said the Lord told him that we are at a crossroads, as a people and as a nation. I totally agree with him. I would suggest, however, that we have been there for some time. God, in His graciousness, has been calling us to intimacy through repentance for quite a while. He has used the incredible sin in our land to drive those who see it to their knees and remind us of our own desire to be independent of Him. He has also used it to show us that we would rather proclaim His promises, use His Words, and flaunt our heritage before those who are needing Jesus, than humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways, asking for forgiveness of our sins. That act alone testifies of the pride and independence that He is after in each of us.

Forgive me, Lord,

"Compare your petitions to Me with those who have gone before you! Include those who were passionate to bring glory to Jesus on their way to the arena that was filled with waiting lions and jeering crowds. Examine your heart and your needs to see if your requests have value in the light of eternity. How much of what you request from Me is for the well-being of others? How much is for your comfort, rather than for your desire to go deeper with Me no matter what the cost?

Is there ever a time that you come to Me wanting nothing for yourself? Have you ever had only My plans in mind and seek Me to implement them in My power? Have you ever sought Me for the power to defend My reputation and the reputation of Jesus? Have you ever wept for how most of the church offends Me with their weak religion and carnal presentation of My cherished Word? Have you ever waited in My presence until you knew for sure what the desires of My heart were? Do you think that maybe it’s time for you to grow up? I do!"

Exodus 33:13a NIV

"If I have found favor in your eyes, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you."

Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

8"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.

9"As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

In our pride and selfishness, we miss so much of what the Lord really has for us. We whine and squirm throughout most of the trials that have been sent our way to purify us, missing the point for them. Our attentions are so self-focused that the Lord can rarely use us to implement what is on His heart for those in our little world.

I am convinced that if ever the Lord would show us the comparison of our lives to the passionate life that He intends for us, we would be amazed and ashamed as to how far off course we are most of the time as we move in concert with our own needs, rather than in His desires for us.

Forgive me, Lord! Change my heart,

"I notice that at times you have a heavy heart. I also notice that because you are My minister, people consider your countenance to be a lack of faith. It is expected by some that you must always remain joyful and happy or there is something wrong with your walk. You must not allow their immaturity concerning My Word to bring you to a point of questioning what I am doing in you during these times. You, My ministers, are those whom I can trust.

I often place My burden for others and for this world on you to hold them before Me. It is My work being accomplished. It is My birthing process. During these times, you will feel some of the burden that I feel. If you do not understand what is happening, you will have a tendency to compare yourself with those who are always happy and think that there is something wrong with you. That is not the case, so be encouraged. Sometimes the burden will come unexpectedly and surprise you. Do not be alarmed, and do not be confused. You are at work for My kingdom. Bring these unspoken burdens before Me, even if you have little idea of what they are. I know. I have given them to you. When My desire has been accomplished, the burden will be lifted.

During the time that you are carrying it for Me, the weight of it might be very heavy. It is not your lack of faith in Me; it is My great faith in you. You are trustworthy. Release everything to Me and I will support you while you are at work. I am with you. I am proud of you. Be encouraged; I love to trust you."

II Cor. 1:11 AMP

While you also cooperate by your prayers for us [helping and laboring together with us]. Thus [the lips of] many persons [turned toward God will eventually] give thanks on our behalf for the grace (the blessing of deliverance) granted us at the request of the many who have prayed

Gal. 6:2-3 AMP

2Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking [in your obedience to it].

3 For if any person thinks himself to be somebody [too important to condescend to shoulder another’s load] when he is nobody [of superiority except in his own estimation], he deceives and deludes and cheats himself.

Gal. 4:19 NIV

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you...

This message isn’t for everyone in the church. It is for those of you who have felt the burden of God, and had no idea what came over you. Until you understand that some of what you feel is God working with you for the sake of others, you will believe that there is something wrong with you. There will also be a myriad of others in the church who will be delighted to give their opinion confirming that. Don’t listen to them. They cannot see and they do not understand spiritual warfare.

Other than in the movies, have you ever seen someone at war of any kind giggling while they fought? Of course not! They were intense until the battle was over. There is a vast difference between walking in fear and walking in an acute awareness of the danger; but standing to overcome in the Lord’s strength.

If you constantly have no joy in the Lord, that is one thing. You need to get in the Word and understand who you are in Christ and what you have been promised because of what He has done for you. If, however, you understand your heritage, but find yourself weighty at times, you may be an intercessor in the service of the Lord at that very moment. That sudden feeling in your stomach might be the Lord wanting you to lift something up on His behalf. No one will understand. Do not try to explain it. Just go to work with a spirit of gratefulness and peace in your heart.

If you are a watchman, an intercessor, a prayer warrior, or in other services for the Lord, you are not to walk around prune-faced and morose as the Sadducees did to prove to others how spiritual they were. Walk in joy. In the same way, however, when in battle, don’t pretend that everything is perfect. Fight the fight. The world is getting darker. Those of you who see may be called upon often. It would be wise to avoid those who will not understand your situation during those times.

"Wait! Wait! Don’t move before I tell you to move. There are many obstacles and foundational items that need to be moved, modified, and created before all is in order. If you move in your own strength and wisdom, you will never receive all that I have for you. I am not in a hurry. Even when I have given you a time frame, you can rest assured that I will never be late with My provision. My timing is always perfect. If you are in My perfect will, I will most likely be asking you to take a step of faith before you see all the provisions that I have made for you.

Remember this one thing. I delight in being your provisional God far more than you delight in having a God who is aware of your every need and has promised to always be there for you. I rejoice as I see you reminded of My faithfulness when I fulfill those needs. I plan to do that for eternity. Why would I not do it now? Rest! Trust in Me. I will never fail you. In fact, wait until you see what I have planned for you."

Ps. 27:14 AMP

Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.

Ps. 31:15 NIV

My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies and from those who pursue me.

Ps. 37:3-5 AMP

3 Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

4 Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

5 Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Ps. 42:11 AMP

Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my countenance, and my God.

Ps.62:5 AMP

My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him.

I used to think that messages about how faithful our God is were unnecessary. We are supposed to know that if we’ve walked with Him for any length of time. Since then, however, the Lord has impressed upon My heart how important it is to talk about His faithfulness one to another. It builds up our confidence in the faithfulness of God. That awareness of His faithfulness is the backbone for everything we do as Christians.

Before any of us can begin to do exploits, witness, or see signs and wonders, we must first have an immovable truth in our hearts. First, we must believe that He is God; and then, that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Without faith in all that transpired at Calvary, none of us could or would be able to share the wonders provided for us. Without faith that our Father will fulfill what He has promised those who embrace Jesus as Lord, none of us could have the wondrous assurance that we do of eternal life.

Rejoice out loud about a loving, faithful God. Proclaim the wonders of His love to each other and to every corner of your world. Never cease to remember His fulfilled promises, and expect Him to be there for future needs. He will be there. He promised.

Learning to remember and to sing praises out loud,

"You may have 'this' because you are mature enough to handle it. I will do 'that' for you, when you are ready for the responsibilities that come with it. I will do something else for you, when I see that you will use it wisely; however, there are some things I will not do because they would not be good for you at this time. I would not be able to hold your attention while you are being trained. Your requests to Me sometimes take time.

Rest in Me while I teach you to be trustworthy. While I am removing obstacles, moving blockades, and changing you, become steadfast in My lessons. Become focused on what I am doing in you. When you are ready, I will move on your behalf. When you have My heart, I can trust you to properly value what you are given."

Psalm 37:4 NIV

Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Jas. 4:2-3 AMP

…You do not have, because you do not ask. [Or] you do ask [God for them] and yet fail to receive, because you ask with wrong purpose and evil, selfish motives…

I John 3:22 AMP

And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] and [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.

In prayer, there is a connection between what God does and what you are to do. Prayer (communication with God) is the vehicle that Father God has established for us to navigate from the physical realm to the spiritual realm and back again to accomplish His will from heaven to earth in us and through us.

Through this communication and because of the work of Jesus, God brings Himself, His plans, and His very being into His established tabernacles – us. Within the communication, we present our requests for all that is necessary for us to become who we need to be. Our Father also communicates His will to us. It is true communication between the Creator and His creation, with Father God all the while fine tuning our encounters with Him through the Holy Spirit.

Our communication with God is a privilege. It is also one of God’s opportunities to change us while we are waiting for answers.

Make me what You need me to be, Lord,

"I am the Glory and the Lifter of your Head. I am your High Strong Tower. I am your Defender against all of your enemies. I am for you; no weapon that is formed against you will prosper. I am the One you can call upon whenever anything hinders the way that I have planned for you. Before everything that has ever existed, I was. I have covenanted Myself to you. All that I Am is for you and never against you. I am your Father God. I give notice to your enemies. Enough!”

Deut. 1:6 NIV

The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.”

Psalm 3:1-6 AMP

1 Lord, How they are increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me.

2 Many are saying of me, there is no help for him in God. Selah [pause and calmly think of that]!

3 But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

4 With my voice I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill. Selah [pause and calmly think of that]!

5 I lay down and slept; I awakened again, for the Lord sustains me.

6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me round about.

Psalm 18:1- 2 NIV

1 I love you, O Lord, my strength.

2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield…

Psalm 61:2-3 NIV

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.

Proverbs 18:10 NIV

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

I believe that as I write this, and as you read this, something has changed in the spiritual realm about our lives. Many of you, as well as we, have been under an onslaught of pressure and trials. Even though they are refining trials, they have seemed overwhelming, especially in the last few days. Often we have cried out to God, who seemed not to hear.

This day, He has said “Enough!” It is now time to move on. All along He has been working on our behalf to prepare the way for us as we proceed. Our command is to avoid what they did in Deuteronomy when they walked in fear because of the obstacles that lay ahead. Have the mindset of Joshua and Caleb.

If this message is for you, if your time is now, have the Lord confirm it and walk with your God. He is with you. If this message is for you down the road, save it and pull it out when the Lord reminds you of it.

Thank You, Lord.

"I am continually observing the relationships that you share with others who are called by My Name. I guard your interactions with a steadfast love because I love each of you, even when you sometimes hate each other. Do you know that an indication of how much you love Me is how much you love each other? Do you know that I care more about your attitude in every relationship that I bring your way far more than how much you strive to do for Me? Anything that you claim to do in My Name means nothing to Me if you don’t love others more than you love yourself.

Jesus put aside everything, even His own opinion, to show you how to get along with others and serve in true humility. Doing only what I asked Him to do, saying only what I wanted Him to say, He showed His love for Me and His humble heart, which I want you to emulate. When you count others as more important than yourself, you show those who give lip service to humility who they really are. I call them fools.

Strive to lower yourselves in your own opinion, and I will lift you up before the world. Strive for true humility. Show it by taking time to listen to the heart of even the smallest child. Make others’ cares and concerns worth your time, especially your brothers and sisters in Christ. I devote all that I am to others; so does Jesus. Shouldn’t you, if you claim to obey My Word?"

Phil. 2:1-5 NIV

1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests , but also to the interests of others.

5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ.

James 4:10 AMP

Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].

I don’t know about you, but most people don’t have a clue about getting along with me. Few people understand that I’m always right, so I have no time for their opinion. Most don’t know that the way of being my friend is to always strive to meet my needs. Fewer understand that making me happy is their portion in life; and for the life of me, I don’t understand why I have no friends, when being my friend would give everyone the opportunity to always hear my opinion only, serve someone worthy of service, and understand someone with true wisdom.

Have I made you sick yet? I sure hope you understand that the above paragraph depicts a person that the Bible calls a fool, and I pray that I am not one. If I really thought that way, I would be a fool’s fool.

Proverbs 18:2 is one of the Father’s many definitions of a true fool. It states in The Message, “Fools care nothing for thoughtful discourse: all they do is run off at the mouth.”

Not caring for the opinions of others shows a heart attitude of complete selfishness and usually follows with an attitude of knowing everything and serving no one. This type of person, who believes that he has all the answers, is an indication of a hardened heart towards God; and he is usually unteachable, untrustworthy, and unwilling to learn anything from anyone - even from God. He is totally self-absorbed and a friend to no one but himself.

Throughout the Word of God, true godly friendships and Christ-like character are manifested in how much we value others above ourselves, especially those who can give us nothing in return. The Christ-like characteristics of gentleness, kindness, tolerance, understanding, and compassion for others are exhibited in the heart that is in line with God’s heart.

Anyone calling himself a follower of Christ endeavors to allow God to develop these characteristics in him, so that Jesus can be seen in him wherever he goes, knowing that acting with love gives hope to the hopeless. His ardent desire is to eventually care for others only, putting himself completely aside, just like the Lord that he serves has done. To the loss of reputation, honor, finances, and material worth if necessary, he relentlessly moves in a direction to acquire the heart that cares only for the other’s best interest in any relationship. Anything less would dishonor his Lord. Anything else he might do for Him would be hollow service.

Wanting to learn how to lay my best interests down just as my Lord did.

You delight My heart. I so look forward to the time when We can be together for all eternity. I have created you to have fellowship with Me. At present, Our being together is hindered by time and your limited understanding and abilities. Soon, however, there will be no limitations to Our interaction. You will be able to enjoy all that I have planned for you from the very beginning of time.

Until then, keep up the good work. Sell out to Jesus. Be an encouragement to those who need to see His love. Love others deeply and live for their best interests. Your rich example of living a crucified life will give many the hope that He has provided for them at the cross. I love you. Live your life to the fullest in Him. When you are finished, be prepared for a wonderful time together. You will be blessed beyond your wildest imagination.

Genesis 1:27-28a AMP

27 So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him: male and female He created them.

28And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]…

Isaiah 48:3 NIV

“I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.”

Rom. 5:17 NIV

For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.

So many of us get so caught up in the day-to-day concerns that we forget about the wonderful inheritance that has been provided for us because of the blood of love that was shed for us many years ago. Jesus accomplished much more for us than we will ever comprehend while we are in these limited bodies.

Soon, we will see Him as He is in all His glory. Until then, we have a job to do. We have the privilege of representing Him to those who need to have answers for their lives. Knowing that He is the only answer, we can confidently share what each of us has been given - a love beyond measure, a life full of answers, and a promise beyond our most imaginative dreams.

Thank You, Lord,

"When you come to Me with your requests, you make the transition from the physical to the spiritual. Your physical needs are placed in My hands where I apply My spiritual power to accomplish them. The difference is so great that it is beyond your comprehension. One word from Me begins an unbeatable process toward the completion of everything needed. Come to Me with your needs. Come often. I reassure you, I will listen, and I will attend to everything My way in My perfect timing."

Gal.3:3 NIV

Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?

If we ever really understood the concept of placing everything in God’s hands and leaving it there, most of us would finally find freedom. One glimpse into the spiritual realm, one instant of the revelation of the “mightiness” of the Almighty, and our whole lives would change forever.

Show me truth, Lord.

"You are not your own. It has been very costly to purchase you. Nothing but the blood of Jesus was of sufficient value to redeem you from eternal separation from Me. Jesus willingly sacrificed Himself so that you could be spared the horrors that awaited you because of the one to whom you belonged. Now you are legally Mine. Your heritage has been restored. Never forget Who you now represent. I am perfecting you to represent Our Family properly."

John 8:42-44 NIV

42 Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I come from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.

43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say.

44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire."

I Cor. 6:20 AMP

You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.

Eph. 4:12-13 AMP

12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),

13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ and the completeness found in Him.

Maybe one day we might get it. I wonder if we will ever comprehend what has happened because of the cross of Jesus Christ. It is no small event to change families. It is no little thing to have averted eternal damnation and been given eternal union with God.

I believe that it is important for each of us to remember who we were, who we now are, and who we are to become. We must never forget how much mercy we have been given. None of it has to do with what we deserve. All of it has to do with how much we are loved.

Never let me forget, Lord,

"When was the last time you blessed your wife or husband? What about your children? How about your friends or even your enemies? I don't mean blessing someone by buying them something or doing them a favor; I want you to call down My blessing upon them. Do you know that in doing so, you become an instrument of My power to turn them to Me? You can wake up the deadened and dying heart, encourage a discouraged spirit, and destroy lying spirits by being My vessel of blessing. The world may consider it foolishness when you bless; I consider it an impartation of My courage and an inroad to My kind of healing. Begin to bless from your heart. Watch how people change as you do."

Ephesians 3:14-19 NLB

13 When I think of the wisdom and scope of God's plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father,

15 the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.

17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God's marvelous love.

18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.

19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Most of us understand the biblical principle of blessing our enemies and those who use us, but few of us fully understand the incredible power of invoking those blessings on others. Fathers, when was the last time that you took your children aside and imparted a fatherly blessing on them? Husbands, how often do you place your hands on your wives and bless them and thank them for who they are and how much they add to your life? What about your friends? Have you ever invoked blessing upon those who have been given to you as alliances by the Lord? Take the time with the Lord and have Him show you how He feels about the impartation of blessing and its effects upon others.

I remember a specific instance when the Lord intervened in the middle of a season of dealing with rebellion in my then young daughter. Something was different from the norm. The rebellion seemed to take on a spiritual state, rather than simple, childlike misbehavior. I was about to impart consequences for actions taken when He said to my heart, "Father, bless your daughter." Being the "spiritual giant" that I am, I was too out of patience to do it at the time.

The next day, He wouldn't leave me alone. Given His strength, I took her aside and invoked a loving, confirming, fatherly blessing upon her. I could see her melt as I did. With every word, she brightened and the rebellion actually disappeared from our household. I believe that far more was accomplished than I will ever know.

Show me Your ways, Lord,

"Woe to some of you who claim to be teachers of My Word. You will be held accountable for every interpretation of what you claim that I have said. You will face My wrath for every child that you have caused to stumble or have led in a direction that does not bring them to the cross that I have provided for them. If you were in the military, I would hold some of you in no higher esteem than a tyrannical dictator, because of your dealings with those whom you are supposed to serve.

You create laws that justify your hedonism and say that I have given you the right to live as kings in the midst of the hungry and oppressed. You take from the poor to pad your nests, promising them wealth of their own if they give to your cause. You use My provision for your own gain while My troops never have enough for tools and equipment to wage the proper warfare needed to make a difference. You have distorted My promises, misused My Words to you, and misdirected My little children, all for your own gain. Your focus is on yourselves. Your teachings are nothing more than misguided principles that cause those who follow you to stumble and fall into the same traps you find yourselves in. You appear prosperous because of the principles that you teach, but you are poor and awaiting My judgment.

Soon you will be exposed for who you really are. Your manufactured formulas will not work. Your false securities will fail you. You will stand alone, cowering, without answers when things fall apart. Those who have looked to you will be weak because you have taught them your weaknesses. They will perish because you have not taught them to find real nourishment. I am against your folly. I am not with you. I hate how you have distorted My Word. Woe to you!"

Hosea 4:6 AMP

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge...

2 Peter 2:3 NIV

In their greed, these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.

James 3:1 NIV

Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

1 John 2:6 AMP

Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

If we call ourselves Christians and truly followed after Him, we would walk and conduct ourselves in the same manner in which Jesus, the Christ, walked and conducted Himself. We would have only the Father's desires in mind. We would hold nothing as our own, have nothing for ourselves, and care only for the needs of others. We would show others that the crucified life is the life that eliminates all flesh, and gladly live that life so that others might prosper as the Father sees prosperity. Our only goal in life would be to glorify our Father in heaven, and teach others to do the same. The souls of those who are perishing would be our major concern, and anything that distracted us from that mission would be in our way. Our goal would be to lay our lives down so that others could live. Hmmm!!!

Needing to follow only Jesus,

"When was the last time you expressed the joy of your salvation? For that matter, when was the last time you were even thankful that you have been saved from eternal separation from Me? How hardened has your heart become? Are you using your salvation as a license to not care for the well being of others? Why are you not shouting the joy you've been given from the rooftops to others? Why are you not filled with delight every day so that others can see your joy? Have you forgotten the incredible value of the free gift you've been given? Sometimes it seems that way to Me!"

Ps. 13:5-6 AMP

5 But I have trusted, leaned on, and been confident in Your mercy and loving-kindness; my heart shall rejoice and be in high spirits in Your salvation.

6 I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Ps. 40:16 NIV

But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who love your salvation always say, "The LORD be exalted!

Ps. 149:4-5 NIV

4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation.

5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds.

Rom. 15:13 AMP

May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.

Phil. 4:12-13 AMP

12I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.

13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency].

I have experienced some people who call themselves followers of Jesus who are real prune faces with dead hearts. I believe that if the Lord would choose to give them a million dollars, they would complain about some other area that makes them a teeny bit uncomfortable. How foolish have we become? How far have we fallen? When are we going to remember what this wonder-filled relationship is all about and bubble over to others in our joy?

Teach me to bubble rather than blubber, Lord,

"As I unfold My plans and the events that were promised long ago come to pass, many around you will need what you have. That is why I am taking the time to train you now. You see your present pressures as challenges to overcome. I am using them to teach you to submit. You see your needs as temporary circumstances that you can work your way through. I am teaching you faith in Me. Few of you know how to trust Me, really trust Me. I am taking care of that. Embrace your trials as the eternal work that they are. Begin to see with My eyes. Look past your needs and covet only My presence. Grow past your self-serving hopes and dedicate your entire being to My ways. It is your only place of honest service."

John 17:15-19 AMP

15 I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.

16 They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), [just] as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by Truth; Your Word is Truth.

18 Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

Jam. 1:2-4 AMP

2 Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations.

3 Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience.

4 But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you may be [people] perfectly and fully developed [with no defects], lacking in nothing.

A good friend called me a while ago. In the course of our conversation, through the obedience of this vessel, the Lord exposed my fickle heart. I had taken on the responsibility to make happen what only the Lord was supposed to do. Repentance was necessary and I did so.

After a while, the Lord showed me where my heart really was and how my sin had affected my relationship with Him. I had taken over the lordship of my circumstances once again, a heart position that deeply offends Him. I had decided that my ways were better than His ways for my life - no small matter. In fact, my foolishness grieved my God the same way that the Israelites offended Him over and over again by not trusting Him after they were delivered from Egypt.

In this time when we, as God's people, lounge under His astounding grace and mercy, and vacation in His overwhelming forbearance, we must never miss the fact that His heart never changes. This life is all about His ways. He is God, and we are not.

Forgive me, Lord,

"What are you not understanding about what I'm telling you through world events and weather patterns all around you? How clear do the times and seasons in which you live have to get before you move from your complacency and begin to live completely for Me? Do you realize that I inform you, My children, first, so that you are ready when I move My hand? It is for good reason. I want you to wake up and be ready to represent Jesus properly when the world is out of answers.

You are not responding to My clear warnings. You are far from responding to what you see around you with My heart in mind. You are only concerned for your personal safety. Where is the heart of Jesus in My church? I want to place it in you. Come to Me now for what is needed to be formed in you. Come to be made ready for when I need to call upon you to represent the way My children are to live, no matter what is happening around them. Wake up! Listen to what I am saying. Repent of your foolish ways."

Esther 4:13-14 AMP

13 Then Mordecai told them to return this answer to Esther. Do not flatter yourself that you shall escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews.

14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father's house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?

Psalm 111:2 NIV

Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

Isaiah 30:21 NIV

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

One of the reasons that we have been given access to Father God through the blood of Jesus is to be able to discern the times and seasons, so that we can warn others that they may come to Christ. We are never to be date setters or doomsday prophets, but we are to be astute when it comes to Bible prophecy, applying it to the time in which we live. We are also to live our lives according to what we understand and learn from being in the Word and with our Father.

I believe that Bible prophecies are unfolding before us at an accelerated pace. I believe that we have a responsibility to take the knowledge that we are gaining and live the kind of life that will be most advantageous for the Lord to use us. We are to be prepared and ready to be used by Him, no matter what the time or season, or when the challenges come.

Make me ready, Lord,

"Holiness is not an option for anyone who chooses to sell out to Me. I'm not talking about the striving, struggling kind of holiness. I'm talking about the peaceful, flowing in My presence kind of holiness. You finally need to accept that there is nothing you can do to bring yourself to that kind of fullness in Me. You can only accept My work being done in you.

You need, however, to really accept My way of developing Myself in your inner being. I bring death to your old decaying spirit, so that My new life bursts forth. Your way of attempting to change by doing and hoping and striving only brings failure, defeat, and discouragement. My way, the implementing of pressures and the use of circumstances that you can't handle by yourself, changes you from within. My changes are eternal. They not only develop holiness, but also an eternal friendship with Me. I want you to be enthusiastic about the weight of My hand on you. You are too valuable to have Me leave you the same as you were. We will rejoice out loud as you become who I know you will be."

Hebrews 12:10-11 NIV

10Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best, but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Rev. 3:19 AMP

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

I know people who have been crushed by infant teachings somewhere in their past. They are afraid that if they are ill, or times are rough, or their lives don't look "successful" in the eyes of the church, they have done something wrong. Worse still, they have been taught to speak "faith" into a difficult situation so that they can be removed from it. What a sad life, supposedly in Christ.

God's ways are so different from ours. His longing is to have an earnest, vibrant relationship with those who are His. That can't happen until we choose to embrace God's ways and have His heart. Both are accomplished through pressure.

Removal of a pressure of some sort, in itself, accomplishes nothing but temporary, carnal comfort. Submitting to that pressure is actually siding with God against that same carnal desire to remain comfortable rather than becoming like Jesus.

The understanding that difficulties will come your way is not a lack of faith as some proclaim. It is the epitome of faith in the One who is faithful. It takes a vast amount of faith in God when all seems hopeless and you turn to Him for strength rather than your own resources to deliver you. (However, don't be foolish enough to believe that the consequences of decisions made in ignorance are God's hand or that the refusal of medicinal help when needed is an act of faith.)

An amazing benefit of turning only to God when you are in a helpless situation is the astounding faith and love for God that is implanted deep within your inner parts - not in spite of the trials, but because of them. After walking through shadow after shadow together, the faithful God Himself becomes our only desire. More of Him becomes our request. Only holiness - so that there is no separation - is the common goal.

Needing to remain long enough to be thoroughly changed,
