“I have given you a specific life to live. It is important to Me that you live it to the fullest. There are certain people only you will be able to touch. There are specific instances when you are to be a testimony to others. Every detail of your life is important to Me. Every instance that you encounter is part of who you are becoming. They all add up to who you really are in Me.

At each point in your growth, I move people to you so that they can observe more of Jesus. Your experiences and growth help them to become who I want them to be. Consider every instance, every encounter, and every circumstance you face to be worthwhile. They are building blocks to your completion. Your life is for you to live as you choose. I choose for it to be developed into the character of Jesus. I ask you to do the same.”

Genesis 1:27-28a AMP

27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him: male and female He created them.

28aAnd God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man] -

Psalm 51:10 AMP

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering and steadfast spirit within me.

John 4:34 NIV

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.”

Acts 21:13 AMP

Then Paul replied, What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart like this? For I hold myself in readiness not only to be arrested and bound and imprisoned at Jerusalem, but also [even] to die for the name of the Lord Jesus.

We all need to look past our own little ideas about why we were born, and - just as importantly - why others were born. God really does not make mistakes. If we could see the orchestration of all of mankind, we would realize that everyone in every place on earth has a life given to him or her by the Lord. That life counts very much in His plan. Each one is specifically designed to accomplish a specific life task.

As followers of Christ, our lives have eternal consequences for the many other lives who have an encounter with us. We carry truth within us.

Show me how to live my life properly, Lord,

“Do not become weary in what I have called you to do. Don’t give up because things seem to be going wrong. All is in order except your priorities. I am bringing everything into its proper place. You will have what is needed to finish your task. You will see why there seem to be delays when I unfold the reasons for them to you.

While you are waiting, let’s talk. Let’s spend some quality time together. Time with you is always more important to Me than anything you are doing, even My very important projects. Jesus gave His life so that We could be together. Make Our fellowship your priority. It was His. It is also Mine.”

Matthew 26:53-54 NIV

53“Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

54But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

Mark 15:37-38 AMP

37Jesus uttered a loud cry, and breathed out His life.

38And the curtain [of the Holy of Holies] of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.

When things aren’t going according to my schedule, I sometimes feel that there must be an emergency meeting of the Trinity going on to discuss the urgency of my situation. Obviously that is never true!

It is in those times that my Father reveals to me lessons about trust, Lordship, faith, and patience. He brings me back to the truth that He is the Lord over my life and I am not. He has everything under control, so I should stop attempting to control the days He has called me to live for Him. I also realize that I have not made my time with Him my priority. In His eyes, that will never do.

Forgive me, Lord,

“Obedience to My desires brings My presence in what I call you to do. Delighting to be obedient brings My heart. I value the difference between compliance out of duty and an excitement to see My will go forth. One accomplishes much; the other is why Jesus spent His life.

It’s time for you to reexamine why you do what you are doing. My goal is that We walk together with the same heart. What is your purpose for waking and working? Why do you call upon Me in prayer? Turn aside from the elementary teachings of your youth. Long for My heart. Spend enough time with Me to know it. Crave to own it!”

Psalm 51:10 AMP

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering and steadfast spirit within me.

Isaiah 43:21 NIV

-the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.

Amos 3:3 KJV

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Matt. 25:1-12 NIV

1“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.

2Five of them were foolish and five were wise.

3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.

4The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.

8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11Later the others also came. ‘Sir! Sir!’ they said. ‘Open the door for us!’

12But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I don’t know you.’”

God is always after our hearts. So many of us walk in compliance, thinking that we are pleasing God. The Sadducees and the Pharisees became arrogant because of their self- righteousness. They fulfilled the law, but lost the heart of God. In the same way, most of us do the right things, but miss God’s heart while doing them. It’s time to grow up for the good of our God and the reputation of Jesus.

I want to love Your ways, Lord,

“Are you willing to give up all you ever hoped for in life for the sake of My call on your life? What about your dreams or your reputation? Are they dead to you? The Lordship of Jesus over your life means that you no longer have rights to control any portion of your being. You have been bought with the great price of the blood of Jesus.

As someone who calls himself a Christian under His Lordship, you can either be a bondservant or a slave. It is all determined by the position of your heart. A slave mentality is compliant to the Lordship of Jesus, but fighting His desires all the way. That individual’s personal desires and motives are not under the work of the cross. A bondservant delights in His wishes and willingly gives away everything for His will.

Which are you? Which do you believe is My will for you? Which is the heart of the waiting bride?”

Matt. 7:21-23 NIV

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Matthew 16:24-25 AMP

24Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to be My disciple, let him deny himself [disregard, lose sight of, and forget himself and his own interests] and take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying, also].

25For whoever is bent on saving his [temporal] life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting].

Galatians 2:20 AMP

I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]: it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

Very simply stated: Jesus lived an exuberant, passionate life because He loved deeply and knew the truth. Everything that He did had love as its foundation, its continual motivation, and its ultimate goal. Nothing, not even death, could move Him from expressing that love to and for those around Him.

Because He was One with and knew His Father intimately, He understood the truth about the fate of mankind as a result of the fall. Because He lived with His Father in all of eternity past, He knew what separation from His Father for all eternity future really meant for those He loved and created. He felt His Father’s heartbreak because some would perish.

Jesus was brought into a world so perilous that children were killed at the whimsical edict of an evil king, crucifixions were as commonplace as morning walks, and people were held in slavery to ignorant teachers and foolish guides, yet He was absolutely fearless. His passionate love, His intimacy with His Father, and His zeal for imparting truth made Him “Teflon” in a world seething with infectious evil and eternal danger. His presence in any society was a gift of love from His Father God. We are in training to be the same kind of gift to those around us wherever our Father sends us.

Jesus could be fearless because He loved perfectly. He cared only for others and desired nothing for Himself. Even though He had all power, He was under full submission to the will of His Father. In His heart, He had given away everything, so He had no fear of someone robbing Him, even of His life. He held Himself in lower esteem than everyone, even the lowly leper, so no one could destroy His reputation. Jesus’ love was so pure that He was absolutely free from any peril that the world would attempt to place on Him.

I choose to love Your will, Lord,

“Focus! Go back to when you were first in love with Me. Remember the things that were important to you at that time. Remember also what was not important because you loved so deeply and cared only about those things I cared about. I could guide you with My eyes. I could tell you My heart and you would move as if We were One. You need to go back there, so that I can use you in that way again. It is important to Me, but it is also very important for you.

If you do not turn, We will grow farther apart. You will not be able to know what is important to Me any longer and I cannot embrace the things that you deem important. That is not a good situation for you. Turn now. Repent! Time is short!”

James 4:8-10 AMP

8Come close to God and He will come close to you. [Recognize that you are] sinners, get your soiled hands clean; [realize that you have been disloyal] wavering individuals with divided interests, and purify your hearts [of your spiritual adultery].

9[As you draw near to God] be deeply penitent and grieve, even weep [over your disloyalty]. Let your laughter be turned to grief and your mirth to dejection and heartfelt shame [for your sins].

10Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].”

Rev. 2:2-5 NIV

2“I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false.

3You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name and have not grown weary.

4Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love.

5Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.”

A significant life is the life of Jesus. Jesus moved only in love, only in His Father’s wishes. As He walked among those He had created, He saw their needs and moved with compassion on their behalf. He gave His all, even for those who hated Him - especially for those who hated Him. Their need became His mission. His love became their salvation.

Take me back to first love, Lord,

“Do you know what your purpose is? I don’t mean what your personal calling might be, but do you know what the overall purpose of My church is? You have the privilege of telling the wonderful news that, in the unseen world, the impossible has been done for all men. Jesus reconciled everything between Us. Now you have been given the joyful task of telling the hurting, the discouraged, the little ones that flounder in the darkness, that all has been made right between Us.

Without the work that Jesus did, not one of you had any hope of ever being free. Now you can be free from all the horrors in your world and free from all the eternal horrors that awaited you just after you closed your eyes for the last time.

There is nothing to fear if you accept the work that has been done by Him. Your greatest gift besides your own freedom is the opportunity to tell everyone of this fantastic news. I want everyone to have the opportunity to hear of His wonderful accomplishment. You tell them for Me, OK? I will be with you to empower you when you do it. The angels and I will rejoice whenever someone receives this great gift. It is fun for Me. I can’t wait for you to rejoice with Me.”

II Cor. 5:18 AMP

But all things are from God, Who through Jesus Christ reconciled us to Himself [received us into favor, brought us into harmony with Himself] and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed we might aim to bring others into harmony with Him].

Our great, great, great, etc. grandpa and grandma, Adam and Eve, generated an incredible black hole in the spiritual realm when they defied God. Their seemingly harmless act of rebellion, (the same act that each of us has the choice to wallow in each and every day, by the way) did far more than expose the first apple core (if indeed it was an apple.) It created an impasse between the holy and the newly profane. God could not legally go where His children were and they could not legally go where He was. Two beings once capable of intimate interaction were now as different as darkness and light.

Enter Jesus. Far more than hanging on a cross, He once more bonded Creator and creation and made them inseparable. He destroyed everything that once separated us from God. (You can jump for joy right here if you want.)

I remember once, when my older daughter was a teen, Satan had created a separation between us for several months. Those months were the most agonizing months that both of us ever spent. Nothing could console me. There was nothing that I wouldn’t have done to be able to bridge the gap between us. There was no solace for me; nothing mattered except reconciliation. I’m sure she would have felt the same if she could have. I was a daddy who was hurting and she was a child hurting equally as much.

One day there was complete restoration of our relationship. God said that the gap had been there long enough and moved on our behalf. It was one of the happiest days of our lives. The healed relationship was so complete that we returned to being best friends.

Remembering my pain as a human father, I believe that our Father in heaven must ache so much more for every one of His children who can’t experience His love. We need to tell them, for their sake and for His.

Wanting to see my Daddy happy,

“I have given you life and I want you to live that life abundantly. I have called you to live it passionately as Jesus did, not with minimal enthusiasm for it or mild involvement in My ways. Your days are full of choices; your years are numbered according to My will. You are on a tailor-made and very personal adventure planned by Me.

Most of you miss the joy of your journey. You see challenges as threats rather than opportunities for Us to strategize together. You long for the highs and miss the wonder of learning to trust in Me when in the valley. You hope rather than know that My Word is true. You settle for morsels of what I have available. You struggle to maintain control, when absolute surrender to Me and My plans would bring you freedom. Your days are dull and mundane, rather than full of the exuberant life that Jesus lived. He understood how much His life and your life in Him meant to Me. He shared My desires rather than inventing His own to maintain His safety.

I want you to shake off all of the foolish reasons you have for not becoming deeply involved in My plan for you, no matter what the cost might be to you. I want you to begin to live wondrously, full of the heart of My Holy Spirit. Stop settling for less than I have for you.”

Hos. 2:14-15a AMP

14Therefore, behold, I will allure her [Israel] and bring her into the wilderness, and I will speak tenderly and to her heart.

15aThere I will give her her vineyards and make the Valley of Achor [troubling] to be for her a door of hope and expectation…

Rev. 3:19 AMP

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

Somehow we have believed the lie that things such as comfort, the world’s definition of success, and a life without challenges and heartaches are more important than an intimate relationship with our Lord. We seek the visible comforts rather than understanding that whatever causes us to need Him, to come to Him, to wait for Him or to rest in Him alone are what give us true wealth and an abundant life. We miss how God is working to fulfill our days and pattern our lives after the abundant life of Jesus when we look only for the mountain tops, ignoring the opportunities for growth and intimacy in the valleys. We miss the joy of the journey while waiting for the comforts of our flesh.

Let me find Your abundant life in every aspect of my days, Lord,

“Have you noticed that a spirit of intolerance and flagrant independence has been loosed upon your land? It is the prelude to the apostasy that has been predicted in My Word. Few will take responsibility for their wrong doings. Almost no one will stand up for what is right anymore. The concept of right and wrong has migrated into a gray area of muddled legalisms. Few can be trusted, even within the walls of My church.

If everyone is now conditioned to blame the other for that which they themselves should be responsible, they will not be familiar with and understand the concept of repentance. Because their hardened hearts will see sin as the offense of the other, rather than of themselves, they will see no need of a Savior. Even My church will go to court rather than live up to their responsibility when they are wrong. I need to break them and bring them back to responsibility. I must remove their comfort zones. I must destroy their flagrant rebellion and make them realize who they are following.

My breaking them will change your lives. You will lose your comfort zones as I deal with them if you rely on the world for your safety. Determine in your heart now that your power is not in your own resources. I am waiting to renew your source for everything in your life. That is why My training course for you has intensified. That is why My warnings have become more clear. It is so that you will not be caught unaware. I am causing you to prepare your heart and trust Me to be your provision, your only source. When you rely on Me, you will walk above everything that attempts to hinder you from your appointed tasks or rob you of your peace. You become strong in the power of My might. I love it when that happens!”

2 Samuel 14:14b NIV

“But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.”

2 Cor. 7:9-11a AMP

9Yet I am glad now, not because you were pained, but because you were pained into repentance [that turned you to God]; for you felt a grief such as God meant you to feel, so that in nothing you might suffer loss through us or harm for what we did.

10For godly grief and the pain God is permitted to direct, produce a repentance that leads and contributes to salvation and deliverance from evil, and it never brings regret; but worldly grief (the hopeless sorrow that is characteristic of the pagan world) is deadly [breeding and ending in death].

11aFor [you can look back now and] observe what this same godly sorrow has done for you and has produced in you…

Do you realize how unique it is to hear the words, “Wow, I was wrong. It was my fault; please forgive me”? No doubt a majority of lawyers in this country would spend countless hours attempting to prove in court that those words were never said, so that someone could be declared only partially wrong or be completely vindicated from his or her responsibility. Almost everyone would go along with it, so that the impact of the transgression would be lessened. It would be the “wise” thing to do.

Because this attitude now permeates every layer of society, the concept of sin is no longer understood. Try something when people begin to talk about an offense that has happened, especially if their words make it apparent that they were at least partially in the wrong. Try it with both Christians and non-Christians.

After they have explained their side of the story, suggest that they apologize to the other party for their part in the offense. Suggest that their actions were sin. Watch their eyes as you do so. Usually there is some sort of silence and a shuffling of feet before a response comes. When it does come, be prepared to have a much shortened conversation with them.

We, who are Christ’s, must realize more than ever that words alone, even the most eloquent and persuasive words, cannot convict someone of his sin. Unless our witness and our words are anointed by the Holy Spirit and permeated with His presence, they are wasted on the hardened heart. We simply speak a foreign language to someone if they are not.

In the days ahead, any success that we have in helping to bring someone to the Lord or change the hardened heart of someone who is already a Christian will only come from the power of the throne room. It is, more than ever, a spiritual thing in need of a spiritual answer.

Needing to walk everywhere only in the Spirit,

Jim Corbett

“Do you understand how important your every word and your every action are? I don’t believe that you do. If you did, you would not be saying and doing some of the things that are part of your everyday life. I see you slander those who come against you. I see you gossip about your neighbors and your friends. Often you ridicule those who are called by My Name because they do not believe exactly as you do. Some of you have become the judge and the jury of those who have not been with Me long enough to look and dress or act in the manner that you see fit. You shun them from your fellowship because of your pride in your religion of Christianity. It is bad enough that you choose to condemn those who have not embraced Me, but when you come against anyone who is called by My Name, I am not pleased. You are coming against Me!

Why do you place yourselves above anyone? Have I not called you to serve everyone? You represent My Son. People see Who He is by how you talk and act toward others, especially those who are called by the same Name as you are. You do not realize how harmful your wayward tongues and hardened hearts are to you, especially when you have come against My anointed ones. I have placed reciprocal judgments on your life because of them. Those judgments have My signature on them. I have always paid in kind for actions done.

If you bless, I will bless you. If you are merciful, mercy will be given to you. When you do one of My children harm, you have placed yourself in position for the same kind of harm to come to you for your training. Reflect on your past actions toward others, especially my greatly loved children. Then allow Me to show you how your actions have come back to you. You are called to function above the ways of the world. I ask you to do that because of your respect and love for Me. If that is not enough of a reason, I have sorrow for you. You will now clearly reap whatever you sow.

Soon it will be paramount that you stand in your world in a manner that brings honor to My Name. It is more important than ever to do so in these closing hours. The days of shallow representation of Me are over. It is important to Me that others see a true representation of My Name. I will have little mercy toward those who tarnish the Name that is above all names. Remove yourself from that group or I will judge your actions with an iron fist.”

1 Chronicles 16:21-22 AMP

21He allowed no man to do them wrong; yes, He reproved kings for their sakes.

22Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.

Esther 7:10 AMP

So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath was pacified.

Obadiah 1:15 AMP

For the day of the Lord is near upon all the nations. As you have done, it shall be done to you; your dealings will return upon your own head.

Luke 6:38 NIV

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

God’s signature judgments are sometimes horrible to watch. People involved usually reel under the weight of them. What is even more difficult to observe is when those under the judgments are oblivious to them and why they are happening.

A pastor friend of mine, who has given Merry and me wise counsel often, made this statement when we were seeking help for judgments that were coming against us. He said, “Confidence in God is how little you respond when falsely accused.”

After taking that advice and not responding in any way to the “done in love” accusations, we have seen those who had accused flounder visibly as they felt the weight of the hand of God on their lives. Because we chose not to defend ourselves, we had the opportunity to see our God defend us as each person experienced the tailor-made response to their words. Father God has a way of doing that for His children. Often we have wept as we see some of them “shake off” the judgment, unable to understand why things are no longer going as well as before.

God’s Word is true and very real. I am convinced that, in these closing hours of time, we are going to realize that He means what He says. We will soon be held accountable much more readily for our words and actions. It’s time once again to become aware of Who we represent and how we are representing Him.

Make me accountable, Lord,

Jim Corbett

“Delight in those I bring to you. Cherish your family. Cherish your mate. If you have no mate, allow Jesus to be your covering. Tuck in under His love. Flourish because of His commitment to you. Every need you have to bring life to the world around you is found in Him. Your need for Him invokes His covenant promises to you. You are safe.”

“You realize that you are running out of time, don’t you? Because everything is quiet at present doesn’t mean that the forces of evil are not at work. They are relentless in their attempts to stifle My Word from going forth. The freedoms you have at present to proclaim the truth about Jesus will soon only be fond memories as, little by little, inroads to the enemy’s agendas are being accomplished. As My church sleeps and functions in a self-serving stupor, opposing forces to My Word are hard at work. They don’t sleep. They don’t quit. They are at war and you are planning your next social event or looking for ways to bless yourself. I have given you valuable resources and you have used them upon your own lusts.

People need to hear what you know to tell them. You, however, are too busy using My time as if I don’t care about those who need to hear. When the darkness comes, you will be sad that you wasted the time while it was light. Turn your resources into tools to be used for My work. If you won’t focus on My work, I will remove what you have and give it to someone who will use it properly.”

Isaiah 28:9-11 NLB

9They say, “Who does the Lord think we are? Why does he speak to us like this? Are we little children, barely old enough to talk?

10He tells us everything over and over again, a line at a time, in very simple words!”

11Since they refuse to listen, God will speak to them through foreign oppressors who speak an unknown language!

Jeremiah 12:5 AMP

If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, then how can you compete with horses? And if [you take flight] in a land of peace where you feel secure, then what will you do [when you tread the tangled maze of jungle haunted by lions] in the swelling and flooding of the Jordan?"

Hag. 1:9-10 AMP

9You looked for much [harvest], and behold, it came to little; and even when you brought that home, I blew it away. Why? says the Lord of hosts. Because of My house, which lies waste while you yourselves run each man to his own house [eager to build and adorn it].

10Therefore the heavens above you [for your sake] withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its produce.

John 12:35 NIV

Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you.”

Nothing is going to stop the predicted plan of God from coming to pass. The New World Order, the building of the temple, the Antichrist, the mark of the beast—everything will come to pass, just as the Word says it will. As that all unfolds, the famine for the Word will become more intense and the dark forces will gain more and more control over the laws, and subsequently, over freedoms.

At present, we as Christians have the ability to build anything, do anything, and plan for anything with limitless freedoms. What is so sad is the fact that we are as if in a drunken stupor. Nothing seems to wake us up to the fact that our Father desires us to tell as many people as we can about the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ before it is too late. Ministries starve while those that have use it for themselves. We are literally saying: “No thanks; it’s all mine and anyway, I’m pretty busy, Lord.”

Forgive us, Lord,

“I’ll cover your back. I mean it. I will forever be there for you when you need My help. You can count on Me. Whether you believe it or not, I have always been there for you in the past, even when it may not have looked or felt like it. I have guided you and I have directed your steps. I have even devised ways for you to need Me. You need to trust Me. My provision does come in many forms. Sometimes you will only understand the form it takes much later, but it is always there. You need to rest in the fact that I will always be with you and for you, no matter what I have you go through. I have My reasons. I love you.”

2 Samuel 14:14 NIV

“God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.”

Romans 8:28 NIV

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

2 Cor. 7:10 NIV

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Hebrews 13:5b AMP

…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]

So many of us misinterpret the Word of God, thinking that God will never allow difficult circumstances to happen in our lives, or that harm will never come to us because we belong to Him. That is foolishness. It is unbiblical. Start with those who died in the arenas in Rome and go from there. They were God’s most beloved.

God’s intent is for each of us to walk and conduct ourselves in the same way that Jesus walked and acted. Whatever it takes for us to be formed into the image of Jesus, so that others can see Who He is, He will use. It is His mercy. It is His promise.

I am convinced that it is time for us to grow up. This Christian walk is not about how comfortable God can make us. That is another gospel, not the true gospel. It denies the cross.

This walk with God is about God reproducing Jesus in each one of us. He will do whatever it takes to accomplish that. We have choices. We can either embrace His presence with us to accomplish that, or we can fight it and remain selfish and self-centered. The first choice brings a healthy life and true freedom. The other is a slow, whiney, complaint-infested, atrophy-filled, fearful spiritual death.

Bring me to life, Lord,

“Do not defile what I call holy. Do not use My grace to be nonchalant about My commands and My heart issues. I need you to move your heart back to an awe of Me and My Word. You need to shake off the influences of your world and its manmade wonders. Your world has lifted itself up to diminish Who I am. It has determined what you should call holy and worthy of wonder. It attempts to tell you what to fear. Do not be fooled. Do not be taken in. I spoke the world into existence. Start there to regain your perspective.”

Gen. 1:31 NIV

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.

Psalm 111:2 NIV

Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

Psalm 150:1-6 AMP

1Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in the heavens of His power!

2Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to the abundance of His greatness!

3Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp!

4Praise Him with tambourine and [single or group] dance; praise Him with stringed and wind instruments or flutes!

5Praise Him with resounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!

6Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

John 19:11 NIV

Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above…”

Rom. 11:36 AMP

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. [For all things originate with Him and come from Him; all things live through Him, and all things center in and tend to consummate and to end in Him.] To Him be glory forever! Amen (so be it).

We all love to sit in lofty places. No matter where we are in life, every one of us has a need to be in some form of control. Somehow we need to be equal to or more than someone else. We have a desperate need to consider our opinion as valuable as anyone else’s. Sometimes we even feel that our way is better than God’s way. It is called pride and Satan loves to have us wallow in it in any form.

The opposite of pride is full submission to the Lord and His ways over independence and having our own way—at all times. In that full submission, our wonder can only come from Him. Our awe originates in Him. Our every breath is understood to initiate in Him.

Nothing—not the supposed wisdom and authority that man says he has, not the accomplishments to which he can point; and especially, not the independence from God that he has established—should turn our heads from the wonder of our Lord in any way. God calls it foolishness. So should we.

You are my Wonder, Lord!

“Prepare! Prepare your heart as a bride would prepare for that special day. Adorn yourself with the righteousness that is in Jesus. Submit to holiness. Become the mirror of the One Who died to attain your love.”

Hebrews 10:14 NIV

…because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.

1 Peter 1:15-16 NIV

15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Rev. 19:7 KJV

Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.

So many of us will regret the many wasted moments we’ve squandered in our lifetime, moments that we could’ve spent getting to know our Lord, rather than presenting foolish, self-serving petitions. The Revelation verse above indicates the responsibility of the wife of the Lamb to prepare herself, to make herself ready. It seems to me that the time has come for those who understand the times and seasons—who observe the signs and understand their implications—to awaken from the slumber of selfishness and prepare to please the Lord as their only priority.

Wake up my heart, Lord,

“You need a clear understanding of accountability. I am the only one Who can really call you to account. Because of My grace and My mercy, that prospect is good for you. Because I am a Righteous Judge, some of you will be very surprised. I will honor My Word. I will judge your stewardship according to It. I will expose your real motives, not your actions.

Some of you feel secure in your stewardship of My money, time, and My Word because you have been deceived. You have fallen for the lies of the uninformed and have managed everything from a place that allows you to remain comfortable, when others are hungry, physically and spiritually. That never was My way. It is your responsibility if you call yourself by Jesus’ Name.

One day you will be exposed to absolute truth. Some of your gifts will not be gifts at all, because you gave them with a wrong heart. Some of your usage of My Word will be exposed for the horror that it is. Many of you have not redeemed your time by placing value on My moments for the sake of others. Turn your hearts while there is still enough time to do so. Come to Me and receive My perspective of your actions. You are accountable for what you know. It is best for you to know My truth.”

Psalm 106:12-15a AMP

12Then [Israel] believed His words [trusting in, relying on them]; they sang His praise.,/p>

13But they hastily forgot His works; they did not [earnestly] wait for His plans [to develop] regarding them,

14But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness and tempted and tried to restrain God [with their insistent desires] in the desert.

15aAnd He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their souls…

Isaiah 2:22 AMP

Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth?

Hosea 4:6 AMP

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge…

Matthew 6:19-21 NIV

19“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.

20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Matthew 7:21-23 NIV

21“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’

23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Just after Jesus left, being called a Christian or a follower of Jesus was something that truly set you apart. At first, there was an awe; people wanted to lift common followers up as gods. Others wanted to stone God’s messengers because of their uncompromising truth. Wherever they went, there was no mistaking that the presence of God had made an impact through those who bore the Name of the Crucified One, because they acted like the One they followed.

Today, we willingly deny God’s absolute truth in our actions if someone so much as threatens us from a distance. We compromise His ways and form them to our advantage, so that they fit into our puny worlds. We walk past the needs of others, even God’s workers; and side with other hypocrites to maintain our comfort. The Word has not changed! Jesus certainly has not changed. How can we really believe that our actions will not be judged by a Righteous Judge? Have we become so arrogant, so pompous, as to compromise His Word without so much as a check in our spirits?

Forgive me and change me, Lord,

“To My remnant believers: It is time for you to discern truth in your interactions with others. Spiritual wealth comes from spiritual people. Too many of you, My remnant, listen and desire to emulate those who are successful by the world’s standards, but have little or no wealth in Me. Because the pursuit of worldly comfort consumes so much time and has so many distractions, there is little time left to fellowship with Me in the way that I desire. Therefore, many have little of My wisdom to share. Usually they can only mouth pre-digested spiritual words they have heard from others or surface wisdom because of their limited time with Me.

You make sure that you listen with My ears to those in your path. Discern their lifestyles. If I am not their priority in life, they have nothing for you, and cannot hear what you have to say. They will not respect what I am doing in you. I have had you, My remnant, in training. You may fall short by the world’s standards, but you have learned to desperately need Me. In your need of Me, I have given you Myself, My wealth, and My wisdom for the coming times.

Soon you, who have proven that I am your priority, will be the leaders of those who think they have a right to lead you now. Your wisdom will survive when theirs won’t be adequate in a world that changes drastically where I am needed for every breath.”

Matt. 25:1 NIV

Come out to meet Him!’”

Gal. 4:19 NIV

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you.

When real wisdom is needed, when real power—power birthed in the heavenlies—is called for, the remnant bride will be discovered. She is in the midst of the church right now, but is not recognized by most of those around her. Dressed in less than the best clothes and mostly burdened down from learning to carry the weight of the sins of those around her, learning perfect obedience and finding how to love those who don’t know how to love, she looks nondescript to the undiscerning. The pattern of her life, however, is the same as that of her Master.

Jesus had one set of clothes, dusty sandals, no home, and no reputation. Some of those He encountered thought that they were powerful enough to kill Him. Others, those who could see, knew He was Lord even though He never told them, and outwardly He sure didn’t look the part of a king.

As a young man, He was hidden among those He would eventually call to account, disguised while He was in training, and sent forth in the fullness of time. He lived and died for the sake of others. That kind of life only comes from the heart of God through the fire of His kind of refinement, not from worldly wealth or wisdom and a moderate commitment to God.

I want Your kind of life for me, Lord,

Jim Corbett

“With the work that I am doing in your heart comes a corresponding responsibility. I expect you to function in the lessons that I am teaching you. I expect you to understand ownership. As I place ownership of My Word and My precepts in your heart, I am removing the ownership of the things that you have held as your own for so long. You are beginning to understand that you are not your own, but have been bought with a price. Many of you have heard that often and have set it aside as yesterday’s news. Now I will aggressively teach you what that really means and the wonder that it really is. Establish obedience in your heart this day. Ask Me to establish My desires in you.

To those who realize the importance of your relationship with Me through Jesus: Begin now to move in the wealth of the training I have taken you through. Move as My voice, My hands, and My heart to your world. Flow with Me as I flow through you to others. I have given you eyes to see; now open them so you will begin to walk where I show you to go. I am showing you truth; open your mouth and speak it without compromise to those who need to hear it.”

Matthew 11:12 NIV

“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.”

Matthew 26:53-54 NIV

53“Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels?

54But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”

As a body of believers, we have been so ineffective by the Lord’s standards that we function with spiritual atrophy. Most of us have never entered into the spiritual power that has been provided for us at the cross. I’m not at all talking about the foolish displays of make-believe authority that allows one to consume the things of God upon himself. I’m talking about the power of the cross that effortlessly eliminates the things of the world and advances the authority of God.

True authority encompasses all the characteristics of Christ and none of the world. It is authority under full submission. Someone, who has learned to remain under the absolute authority of God, will function only as Jesus did. Someone who has been in deep communion with Him desires only to be like Him.

For years, possibly generations, many elements of the church of Jesus Christ have displayed a powerless mixture of worthless religion and make-believe, self-serving relationships to a world that needs to see the risen Christ. I believe that the Lord will soon call forth His own— those who have embraced the refining fires for the sake of their Lord. Free of the dross of the world, they will move as their Master moves, speak only when He gives them authority to do so; and live only for His glory.

At present, this remnant is a laughing stock to the world and ignored by the cold church. They are as invisible as Jesus was to those who couldn’t see. When the Lord calls them forth, their lives will be so bright with His presence that no one will be able to ignore them any more than the work of the cross could be kept quiet.

Those of you who understand know who you really are. So does your Lord. Consider the “cross” training that you are experiencing as valuable as your Lord considers it. Embrace the fires of refinement for the sake of Jesus. Soon you will be called to move in what you have learned.

Become everything in me, Lord,

“The way to the throne is always by way of the cross. The resurrection life can only come from the grave. Most of My people short-circuit the plans that I have for them, because they attempt to bypass My way of doing things. They attempt to find a relationship with Me on their terms, rather than in the way that I have established through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Why would you believe that I would acknowledge any other pattern for your life than the life that He exhibited before the world? He came to show you the way.

You want My favor, but you are unwilling to embrace the understanding that the cross is what I recognize—not your positive confessions and your faith in your faith. Give yourself completely to Me now. Humble yourself before the cross. I will lift you up and make your life significant.”

1 Cor. 11:1 NIV

Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.

2 Cor. 1:8-10 NIV

8We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.

9Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

10He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us…

Jam. 4:7-10 NIV

7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.

10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Our significance is in God, not in whatever we place our significance. We live in a day of pride—pride as a nation, pride in our accomplishments, pride in the things we own, even pride in the sports teams for which we root.

The great things of the Lord spring from humbleness and personal insignificance. We will never have God’s kind of worth until we see things from God’s perspective. He is not looking for us to get better at anything, even serving Him. He is looking for us to understand and function in our need of Him in everything. That goes against everything that we hold dear. As soon as we understand and embrace His ways, we will be free.

Teach me Your ways, Lord,

“The extent to which you allow Me to eliminate your life will be the extent to which I will be able to replace it with My life. That is why there are so many different motivations within My church. It is because of the varying depths of surrender.

First and foremost, everyone, who wants to be Mine and spend eternity with Me, must surrender their lives to the work that I have done through Jesus, and make Him the only Lord of their lives. Everything is simply religious games until that step is taken. Without surrender, there is no relationship. When you surrender to Jesus, you are made spiritually alive and able to spend time in My presence.

After that, how much you desire to be like Jesus is up to you. The extent to which you choose to surrender will be the extent to which He will live through you. I will work with you to make proper choices and in-depth commitments. Your job is not to try to become more like Him; it is to become less like you through My power. I will change you when We are together. As you voluntarily decrease, He will increase. Spend time in My Word and with My Word. Allow My Holy Spirit to lead you into truth. It is why you have been created all over again.”

John 3:30 AMP

He must increase, but I must decrease. [He must grow more prominent; I must grow less so.]

John 6:57 AMP

Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.

God has a plan, and we have our own plans. The tragedy of wanting our own way started in the Garden of Eden. Once we, as mankind, decided to go with our own plans and add God to them when we needed Him, things really became messy. Nevertheless, God had a greater plan all along. Instead of creating a second creation that would also obey because it is the right thing to do, (the first being the angels,) He created us—a creation that would eventually follow Him out of love. Therein lies our free will and our ability to make right or wrong choices.

The most important right choice is to surrender our lives to the Lordship of Jesus. That must be a definitive time in our lives when we cross over from death to life in our spirits. After that, we are allowed to make right or wrong choices every day. I am not talking about the typical sin choices. I am talking about choices that determine whether or not we have more of Jesus living through us. Do we surrender to Him and His will, or do we remain in charge over and over again?

It is only through the power of God that we can make the proper choices. We need to seek Him to give us the heart to desire to surrender fully to Jesus. The increasing depth of surrender allows Jesus to live brighter and brighter through us.

Give me a hunger to surrender completely to You, Lord,

Jim Corbett

“Are you in the league of the know everything, easily offended? Are you complacent with your life and your spiritual walk? Have you shaken off the many times that I have come to you with My Word through chosen vessels? Get ready to have your world and your life revealed to you for what it really is. I am about to show you how I see your use of My resources and My Word in you. You will soon be given an opportunity to make My choices, because My Spirit is about to move. My remnant is about to be called forth in power. Those, who have submitted to the intense training of My crucified life, are about to be anointed to call forth truth into the lives in My church. They will reveal My heart and My observations because they have been with Me.

Many who call themselves Mine will be deeply offended by the words of power that come to them through humble warriors of My cause. Many will attempt to shake off the conviction that offends their flesh, but will find that it is Me Who is calling them to account. They will hate their brothers and sisters in their hearts, and will attempt to nullify those who bring forth My truth— those they have considered of no account for many years. However, make-believe, self-serving Christianity is about to be revealed as the stench that it is to Me.

My true people have been in training to rise above the foolishness that has been purported to be My ways for far too long. Now they will be My voice to call out anyone who will listen and change his or her ways. Accusing words and false judgments will not affect My well-trained ones. They will go forth undaunted by lifeless condemnation.

To My remnant in training: Come into My presence to hear My words of love, intended for those I plan to move away from an attitude of complacency. Receive My boldness for the work I am giving you to do.”

Jeremiah 15:19 AMP

Therefore thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: If you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if you separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God’s faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece…

Acts 4:29-31 NIV

29“Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness.

30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.”

31After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.

If you are at all discerning, you will have noticed the changing tides of the Lord’s church in recent years. For many who are listening to the Lord, what once was is no longer acceptable. What once worked now falls flat on the ground, ineffective. The undiscerning scramble to the next program, trying to find a way to keep going. Those who hear are seeking more of Jesus.

God will always have a people who bring His church back to center. He always raises up a remnant to bring forth truth in a system of half-truths and traditions. Do not make the mistake that some make when strong words of truth come to the church.

Some see chastisement and correction as separation and division. I am convinced that soon strong correction will come to the church from within the church. It will not be infighting; it will be the power of God moving His people back on the path of true Christian living. The call will be one to holiness, a crucified life, and complete submission to the Lordship of Jesus. It will be a call without compromise from a people without compromise in their own lives. Some will listen. Others will scorn. The call, however, will be of God and endued with His presence, coming from those who have been in training with Him.

Create in me a clean heart, Lord,

“I ask you to ponder thoroughly what you were given when you were bought by Jesus. Think past all the usual blessings and begin to consider deeply the wonders that are yours in Him. Allow Me to show you how blessed you really are to have access to spiritual wealth and knowledge with Truth as your guide. Sit with Me and My Word to discover how you have been brought into safety and what that really means. Wait patiently with Me and accept My Word deep within your spirit until its truth becomes part of your inner being and releases you from every high thing that has held you in bondage of any form.

Understand fully the freedom that is yours because you are Mine. Take hold of the truth of your life. Discard everything that does not line up with My Word and My nature. You will move from where you are to where I want you to be because you are in Christ. You will live above the world and its ways.”

Ps. 51:6 AMP

Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.

Ps. 119:160 AMP

The sum of Your word is truth [the total of the full meaning of all Your individual precepts]; and every one of Your righteous decrees endures forever.

Romans 2:4b AMP

…Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repent (to change your mind and inner man to accept God’s will)?

Ephesians 1:17-19a NIV

17I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know him better.

18I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints

19aand his incomparably great power for us who believe…

Phil. 3:10-11 AMP

10[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]

11That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body].

Religion makes us cold and dead. Our relationship with Jesus brings us into a life that is full of wonders and love. We, as children of God, were never supposed to be part of the world and its ways. We are designed to rise above its horrors and bondages.

Once we fully understand how free our relationship with Jesus has made us, we will never again be touched or influenced by the fears, cares, temptations, and riches of the world. We will finally grasp what true freedom means.

Show me Your truth, Lord,

“Guard your heart. Guard the hearts of your children. Pray for those with whom you come in contact. Pray for discernment within My body. Many who call themselves Mine through Jesus have little wisdom to discern good from evil. They are often taken in by the enemy and are helpless to break free from their bondages.

Others are wolves dressed as My sheep. Be careful of them. They are already in your midst to hinder the flow of My Holy Spirit. They are actually praying against your prayers. Make sure your heart is in order. Make sure that you have spent enough time in My presence to wake up from your slumber. You need to become wise.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV

8“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

9“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Hosea 13:6 NIV

“When I fed them, they were satisfied; when they were satisfied, they became proud; then they forgot me.”

Joshua 7:13 AMP

Up, sanctify (set apart for a holy purpose) the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow; for thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: There are accursed things in the midst of you, O Israel. You can not stand before your enemies until you take away from among you the things devoted [to destruction].

When the church of Jesus Christ decides to follow the ways of the world, we become fair game for the schemes of the enemy. He delights in allowing us to attend our church services, sing our songs, and listen to each others’ prophecies. What he will come against with all of his might is intimacy with God. He loves it as long as we play church games, and hates it when we really get serious and decide to dig in with our Lord, seeking holiness.

Whenever we, as children of God, choose activities over intimacy, promises over repentance, and comfort over sacrifice, we can count on cold gatherings and fruitless works. We can count on sterile spiritual relationships, which are helpless against the ploys of the enemy. We will walk blindly into his traps and joyfully remain in deep slumber, thinking that our Lord is pleased and that everything is in order.

Wake me up, Lord,

Jim Corbett

“I am only found at the very end of your rope. So many times you ask Me to assist you in what you are doing. Many times I oblige. My heart, however, is that you follow the example Jesus showed you. He purposely expressed that He did nothing of Himself to show you the way of living His perfect life. Having no answers allows Him to live His life of answers through you. You will never know the freedom of your salvation and all that it means until you surrender all of who you are to all that He is. Run out of answers. You will find that He is the Answer with every answer.”

John 5:19-20 NIV

19Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

20For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does.”

John 6:57 AMP

Just as the living Father sent Me and I live by (through, because of) the Father, even so whoever continues to feed on Me [whoever takes Me for his food and is nourished by Me] shall [in his turn] live through and because of Me.

We attempt to be better Christians. God is asking us to die to all of our efforts to be better and understand that we can do nothing to make us better. He wants us to surrender fully to the One Who is perfect and allow Him to live His life through us. That, however, limits our participation in the things of God. We don’t like to be left out. It makes us feel unimportant and insignificant. It wounds our pride. We are so self-important that we sometimes even love to play the Holy Spirit, as we go around directing and fixing everything.

Forgive us, Lord,

Wait for Him with increasing anticipation as she would wait if she knew that the time was drawing near. Be pure in your motives always. Be holy as He is holy. Become an enthusiastic study of His life. Show others who He is by who you are becoming. Be passionate about your preparation and accurate in your representation. Honor Him with your every breath. Glorify Him with your every action. Never tire in your devotion. He is your soon coming King.”

John 1:1-5 NIV

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2He was with God in the beginning.

3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

4In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

5The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

John 1:10-14 NIV

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God -

13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

As followers of Jesus the Christ, we are to celebrate His birth, study and walk in His life, remember His death, fully believe in His resurrection, and prepare as a bride for His return. We are to be consumed with only Him. He is Lord.

Be glorified, my Lord,

Jim Corbett
